I did experiment with various different blog software and providers. I have finally settled on WordPress as my personal blog server. Previously, I used to write my technology blog at Advogato One of the biggest problems that I had with advogato was - it didn't allow me to write my blogs offline - I had to be logged in to write my thoughts. This used to be a bit of a pain so I put together a piece of software that allowed me to write offline and post all the entries in batch mode when I was connected. I called it the advogato poster.
